Game lockup

I go to play the game and before it starts i get a black screen that flickers...It looks like its trying to load but i cant do anything and i have to restart my computer. I have the patch 445 and it has worked on this comp before
im really frustrated please help

Sounds like the video card. Check that it is back on default settings. Some of the games I have, I need too tweak the Open Gl settings etc, so then it messes up for some other games.[8D]

I also have a problem with the game. Everytime Arokh breathes fire, my game crashes to the desktop. I have Win XP, GeForce 4 128 megs (I think). Nothing fancy for sound, just what came with the PC. 1.6 Gig pentium IV. and 768 megs of Ram. Now the demo for this game worked on my old 64 meg PC, why isn't it working on this one? I also have the 445 patch installed, any advice would be great!!!

Hi,
Try disabling the 3D sound options one by one. This has been known to cause crashes; the A3D option causes crashes on my PC. If this does not work, try running Drakan in win98 compatibility mode.
