ok look, you choos a fire thingy you want to go through. You start to run, when a hole opens next to the one you want to go through. There you go. my "strategy".

It is possible. I have done it (after about 100,000 tries, lol) - Well OK, maybe not 100,000 but it required a lot of patience.

Same here. It took a long while to get through the fire puzzle but it was done. You can either take the words we have said or you can keep complaining and get nothing of it.

i know that it can be done. i did it on my first runthru of Drakan several years ago. it took me thousands of tries

saying you did it in 6 tries - i don't believe that for a minute.

I believe you that you have trouble with it, but I haven't cheated on any of my playthrus and I seldom have to try more than ten times to get thru the puzzle you mention. It really IS a patience thing. Wait until the fire is coming around to ya... when it's a few spurts away, save and try to vary your timing based on lags in Rynn's movement and the timing of the spurts. Perhaps there's some minor bug in your copy of the game?

- i never know it and take that crystal using 'high side-jump' from surrounding structures

...

as about that crystal with timed fires around - i currently came into the 'fire ring' from second attempt only

... simply stay near any fire and wait for time to run (even no jumping !)...

"............. Yeah, I've always jumped over that as well. How DO you use the water to put it out? I'm gonna try that on my next (current) playthru! Thanx for the tip, because I've read virtually none of the walkthrough. Come to think of it, why'd I even ask when I could just look it up... (duh...)
