Good game. I would like it better if Arokh can turn his neck some so that he can direct his fire. A dragon can move his neck, so why Arokh can't ?

Without patch, it requires CD on win XP 64 bit but run w/o CD in win XP 32 bit.

Interesting. I played it on win xp pro 64 bit and it always requires the disk. I don't know if I used the latest patch or not since I don't use any patch.

I don't recall it is but in win xp pro 32 bit, it really is.

I am playing this game again! The reason is it looks so wonderful in my new computer. Believe me. When I played it in my older computer, there are many locations that looked very dark and I am not the only one who found so. Even DSimpson found many "dark places" :

Ok. Here are some solutions I read online for other games, not from my experience:

1. Install the game with setup.exe -lgntforce.

2. Copy the whole CD to hard drive, then install from there.

3. install in safe mode.

It is 365/435. So I am correct, I didn't have patch 445. I think I just installed from the CD, no patch.

Hmm, Drakan ran fine in my winXP pro 64-bit. I don't recall using patch 445 but then again there is no way to check now, although it is still on my computer.

It runs well on my computer win xp pro x64. In fact, it is still on my computer although I ran it mos ago. If you explain more, in english, I will see if I can suggest something.

I believe that patch 445 is only for multiplayer.

I used a previous saved games to enter ice caves again. I used the same tactics taking out 10or so first golems then drank an invulnerability potion and made a run to the amethyst. It worked again. I don't see how I can kill those last several golems. Anyway, next time I will try a couple of spells ...

After completing shiverbane, I tried to do the Clineschmidt's Blade quest. First I saved in front of the statue then tried S.E.E.W.S.N.N.S.
