Yep, yes-sur-ree, you bet you, turn off freelook in options has always worked for me to leave Alwarren. Just before you leave turn it off and right after you are out turn it back on.

I don't think you can change the difficulity level in game and the developer mode is "normal".On Arokh's home page in downloads section I gave him a "too hard" level start.Download it and put into the Drakan Saves then use Load Game when you start.

I also think it takes more hits to kill the bad guys. Scavengers take three hits on normal and too-hard it's like four or five. My two cents worth. DC

One needs to start in Developer mode also. I beleive go to , Start , all programs , Psygnosis , Drakan , Drakan Engine Options , then hold down the shift key and click. this should bring up a dialog box and click the developer tab and check developer mode. I never got the 445++ patch to work ...

If your video card has a control panel you might try turning off alot of the "new functions". Draken is an old game as you know.I had several crashes before I turned off most of the new "buzzers and whistles".

Yes the dragon will fly through the walls if you do not park him where he cannot fly, small space under ledges or side walls and I think you need to ride Derokh out of the cave. I used Derokh to weaken the "Boss Wartok" at range then finished him off.

When your down in the passageway and gone through the "broken wall" walk right along the ledge, the Knight is in a cave like place and I beleive the key is on the floor. The light dagger is very useful to spot the keys.
I have never found the "pit" where the dragon is to get the poison breath near ...

Regarding the Alwarren bug, have you tried the free look fix? Just before leaving go into options and unclick always free look with Rynn, leave Alwarren, then change back if you use the free look option. Always worked for me.

I've got XP and the game works fine cut scenes and all. nvidia 7600 video. I also have the beginning of the level (player made levels also) in too hard difficulty setting. I've saved them in a seperate folder and copy one to the saves folder of the game to play it. Start the game click load game and ...
